We are looking for nurses with more than 2 years’ experience to work in Care Homes and /or Hospitals. Lots of shifts are available! Rates are £20-£48/hr
A vital role requiring a compassionate and caring individual who is able to work under pressure and manage emotionally charged situations. The role of the Registered Nurse involves planning and providing medical and nursing care to patients in hospitals and care home settings; suffering from varying conditions including chronic; acute physical or mental ill health.
Duties include but are not limited to the below:
- Provides leadership and general supervision of all activities of nursing staff relating to the general care of patients.
- Assesses plans, implements and evaluates patient care.
- Develops Care Plans in collaboration with the patient, relatives and other staff members. Regularly reviews and updates plans.
- Carries out nursing procedures and treatments, including the administration of medicines and controlled drugs in accordance with NMC guidelines and following the policies and procedures of the location where assigned.
- Assists in the orientation of new staff and in the induction and training of students and Health Care Assistants.
- Will have regular and routine involvement in the assessment of nurses’ skills / knowledge and therefore scope of practice.
- We be involved in the assessment of new client environments including carrying out site visits to familiarise with the environment that the person receiving the service lives in.
- Undertakes reflective discussions with other nurses as part of the re-validation process.
- Assists in the promotion and implementation of good management practices within the organisation where placed and readily assumes team leadership responsibilities as may be required.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with other relevant health and social care staff.
- Assumes responsibilities of Nurse-in-Charge on a temporary basis, as may be required from time to time during assignments.
- Keeps up to date with new Government legislation and Health Authority Regulations relating to the relevant work setting.
- Agrees to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or do not do.
